Peter Martyr Vermigli (1500-1562) was one of the most learned and influential reformers, not least of which for his commentaries on Scripture. In this commentary on Judges, Vermigli walks the reader through the text, verse by verse, addressing interpretive and theological issues along the way. There is no better way to recover the exegetical methods of the reformers than to sit at their feet and see them interpret Holy Scripture.
