Peter Martyr Vermigli, “Common Places: Vol. I”

Peter Martyr Vermigli (1500-1562) was one of the most learned reformers and his Common Places remained an influential systematic theology long after his death. Volume I deals with the knowledge of God the Creator, and covers such topics as:

  • Natural knowledge of God
  • Prophecy
  • Scripture
  • Creation
  • Providence

This is not a facsimile, but a newly typeset publication of a 17th century translation. The grammar and spelling are preserved from the original translation which you can find here.
